For your family: what to do first
When the time comes, this short list helps the people you love know where to start.
The first few days
Get several certified copies of the death certificate (banks, insurers and agencies each need one). Contact the funeral home. Let close family, friends and the employer know.
Call your insurance agent
Contact Kristy (Call or text 936-328-4714 Β· Office 936-377-2042) or Bridget (281-806-9420) to start the life insurance claim. Have the policy number ready, and know where the policy is kept.
Home, pets and belongings
Secure the house and vehicles. Make sure pets are cared for. Locate the will and the safe deposit box key.
